So let’s start with the new brunch menu. The menu is mostly savoury and include all of the kinds of brunch I crave for brunch. Serve me fried chicken, fried eggs, biscuits & gravy and I’m a happy woman.

This spot is perfect after a night of drinking, but also perfect for anyone include families (weekend cartoons will be playing on their TV). It’s casual and laid-back and I appreciate the decor inside.

My favourite dishes were the Juke Breakfast Sandwich (below) and the Chicken and Waffles.

The Juke Breakfast Sandwich (pork sausage, egg, cheese, hash brown on a biscuit) includes everything you’d want in a breakfast sandwich. Did you notice there’s a hash brown inside the sandwich?

The Chicken & Waffles– crispy (gluten-free!!) skin on a dense Belgian-style waffle. The star is the herbed whipped schmaltz (aka chicken butter).

The Chicken Fried Steak comes with sausage gravy and two fried eggs. This dish reminds me of the times I’ve had biscuits and gravy in the states. That distinct, salty, thick gravy flavour is exactly what how I imagine the gravy down in the southern states would taste.

Chicken Hash with a soft boiled egg. Potatoes, chicken, gravy and rotating goodies. We were lucky it came with corn bread!

Biscuits and Gravy with honey glazed ham. For all you ham lovers out there, this one’s for you. I know my dad would LOVE this dish, because he loves ham for breakfast!

The new brunch menu also includes a rad bunch of cocktails. My favourite was the ‘Breakfast Club‘ (bourbon, rum, cereal milk, spice) but I’d also check out the ‘Excuse Me Miss’ and ‘Starboy.’

Don’t forget the sauces! Honey Beer sauce and Hot Sauce.

Thank you Juke for having me as a guest!
