Filipino BBQ Pork with a fried egg on rice. I love their vinegar dipping sauce! Unfortunately they ran out of garlic rice, so I had brown rice. The pork was super tender and tasted like sweet BBQ… so good! I like how you can take the food into 33 Acres and they let you eat inside.

My favourite Guu location! Always friendly staff and consistently good food- although not pictured, hands down my favourite thing to order is the Mushroom Cheese Bibimbap! That being said, I love everything I’ve ever had and it’s one of my favourite places to go for food (in all of Vancouver!) followed by drinks (namely sake shots)!
If there is only one thing you can afford to try at this restaurant, get the Salmon Oshi Sushi. And then, if you can afford one more thing, get the Saba Oshi Sushi. As a starving (ha!) student, I was fortunate enough to go to Minami for a work party. This explains the large amount of Oshi Sushi ordered, and the fact that I ordered appetizers, a drink, an entree and dessert. Everything was very good, my favourite being the Salmon Oshi Sushi. I think it’s one of the yummiest things I’ve ever eaten, being a japanese food lover/sashimi lover/rice lover extremist.
One of my all-time favourite restaurants to have a good meal and drinks with friends. My favourite item is not on the menu, it’s usually written on their chalkboard of daily specials, but it’s been there every time: the Burrata and Prosciutto antipasto board. Their pizza is really good too, especially with their dipping/drizzling oil! Their chili flakes are super spicy, so use sparingly!
Sister restaurant to Suika and Kingyo, two restaurants I love going to, I knew that I would like the food at Rajio. Although the menu is not the same, the food is very similar. Not your typical Japanese restaurant in Vancouver, it does not focus on rolls or specialty rolls- you won’t be ordering a California Roll here!
I don’t know the story behind the name, but my own story is that whenever my boyfriend suggests going to Don’t Argue! for pizza, we “Don’t Argue!” about going because we both love eating there. (Sorry, I know it’s lame.)
Onto the food:
I like how they sell whole pies, and slices as well. Many of my favourite pizza restaurants don’t sell by the slice, which often deters me from going because I either 1) don’t want that much pizza, or 2) don’t feel like spending $20 on my dinner. So, when I found out Don’t Argue! sold pizza by the slice, I pretty much went as soon as I could so I could try it out!
I was very pleasantly surprised with my first bite- Crust is a huge pizza factor for me, it makes or breaks the pizza and this crust definitely made it for me! I like thin, crunchy, crust that is also soft at the same time. I like the crunch when you first bite into it, but not so crunchy that it’s dry. It still bends when you pick it up which is indicative to me that I’m going to like it. The tomato sauce and cheese was really good too! I will definitely be going back when I next have a pizza craving!
One of my top spots to hit up for weekend brunch. I’ve been here for dinner before as well, but breakfast/brunch is my favourite meal to eat, so I’ve eaten more brunches here than dinners.
I’ve tried a lot of the dishes on the brunch menu, so I’ve narrowed down my all-time favourite to the chorizo, guacamole benedict with sauteed tomatoes on an english muffin. My boyfriend agrees that this is the best thing on the menu as well, so now every time we go, we end up both ordering it.
